Rachel Nugent

About Rachel Nugent
— GLASGOW
Born in the same small Pennsylvania town as the Oscar-winning actor Jimmy Stewart, it's no wonder that Rachel has an abiding love for classic black and white movies. Her sensibilities had her enthusiastically reading Shakespeare voluntarily from the age of 11, which is the same age she first read Gaston Leroux's "The Phantom of the Opera," her favourite book and lifelong obsession. Soon after, she began to soak in the moody, reverb-filled music of the 80's post punk movement. With all of these ingredients at play, perhaps it is fated that Rachel would be drawn to the endless grace of black and grey realism, and all of the splendorous drama it has to offer.
When she isn't tattooing, you can find Rachel writing and recording her own music, or forcing her husband to watch old Jean Cocteau films.
